I’ve dealt with food boredom before but my pregnancy has taken it to a new level. Some days I seriously have no idea what I’m hungry for but I know that if I wait to figure it out I’ll start to feel nauseous. Some days I eat because I know I need to, but the food is just blah.
While dealing with food boredom is tough, what’s tougher is turning away from the foods that sound amazing all of the time. If I could, I’d eat bagels with cream cheese, pizza, and cheese every day. It’s funny how much I want carbs and yet how bored I can be with most foods. It’s just not something I’ve every dealt with before.
Here’s a look at my eats from Tuesday (yesterday) for this WIAW!
Breakfast – 1 cup of Chesapeake Bay Roasting Company coffee, scrambled eggs with turkey sausage and tomatoes, and an everything bagel thin (sorry for not having a photo. I was super hungry after spin class and totally forgot.)
Snack – 1 Fuji apple and 2 tbsp Jif honey peanut butter
Lunch – Leftover ricotta ravioli, sauteed bell peppers, Parmesan cheese, and a Claussen pickle
Snack – Fage 2% Greek yogurt and blackberries (I REALLY wanted the leftover Dominos pizza in the office kitchen… but I passed. Sadness)
Dinner – 2 flour tortillas, ground turkey, guacamole, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes.
Dessert – mint chocolate chip ice cream
I kinda make it up as I go along and although I didn’t eat exactly what I had planned going into the day, I try my hardest to make good choices despite the random cravings and boredom.
