The Bump
Gender – It’s a girl!
Movement – I can feel the baby move all the time now and sometimes it feels so weird! She’s still fairly mellow most the day but when she does move I feel her! It totally feels like I have an alien in me.
Baby Prep – Last week Neal and I visited our first pediatrician, which was a really great experience. It’s exciting to meet doctors who may work with us to keep our daughter happy and healthy! We have a few more appointments later this month with other pediatricians, but I hope to pick a practice before August 1.
Mommy Prep – On Saturday I treated myself to a manicure and pedicure! It was so nice pampering myself and enjoying some me time during the 3rd trimester.
Baby Clothes - On Sunday my mom, sister, and I went shopping at the outlets and found some ADORABLE clothes at OshKosh B’gosh! I’ve got to admit, I can’t wait to dress our little girl!
Food cravings – SWEETS AND CARBS. Holy moly. Last week was tough! I’ve craved things here and there throughout this pregnancy but last week I felt this overwhelming desire to eat anything sweet and anything carb related. I really struggled but tried my hardest to control my cravings. I did give into one craving after my hubby surprised me with Key Lime Pie treats, but I was pretty good the rest of the week. We’ll see what I weigh at my next appointment, eek!
Workouts – Last week wasn’t a good week workout wise. Spin was cancelled one night last week and then I didn’t attend the two other days as I had plans. Womp womp!
Sleep – I’m still pretty uncomfortable at night, but I’m getting fairly good sleep. I’m doing what I can!
Symptoms – I felt pretty good last week! No new or weird symptoms. Still dealing with heartburn, but that’s about it.
Doctors Appointments – No appointments last week.
Thoughts and feelings – Week 31 was a pretty smooth week! I felt like week 30 was a major hump to get over, so I’m glad week 31 went well. The highlights of the week included only working 4 days, enjoying the 4th of July with my friend Becky, getting a mani and pedi, picking up my mom and sister from the airport, and finding a new dining room table at the outlets.
The low points of the week included not working out and craving tons of sweets, sugar, and bread. I can’t say I’m entering week 32 feeling all that healthy, but I know I can turn things around. It’ll be hard as I have family in town and lots of plans on the calendar, but I hope to make better choices and to get to spin twice this week.
Overall, week 31 was a great week and I can’t believe we’re close to only having 2 months left! 31 weeks down, 9 to go!
