A Little BodyPump Action

After a day of eats (Strawberry-Rhubarb Crumble and Mexican casserole) I was excited to make it to BodyPump class this morning.

One of my gym pet peeves is when they offer most of their classes between 9AM and 5PM.  I’ve never understood that… Are there really than many people who take 9:30AM, 12PM, and 4PM classes?  Needless to say, I was excited to finally be able to catch a BodyPump class.

The class had about 10 women in it and the instructor was really great!! It was a shorter class today, 45 minutes, so we cut out shoulders and abs.

Though I love lifting weights on my own, BodyPump is a great workout and gives you an amazing burn!  I recommend it to anyone who is new to weightlifting or may be nervous about navigating their way through a weight room.

After class I made myself a yummy breakfast, using up more of the green lettuce from last week’s CSA box.  Who says you can’t have a salad with breakfast, right?  I topped the lettuce with a balsamic reduction and served along side two pieces of Ezekiel bread topped with jam and eggs (395 calories).

Today Neal and I are heading down to Nationals Park to watch the Battle of the Beltway with our friend Katy.  We love going to Nationals vs. Orioles games and today should be perfect!! The weather here in DC has been insane.  Lots of sunshine and a cool breeze! Can’t beat it.
